After much thought, I have decided to suspend posting to this blog as of now. With the upcoming summer break, three kids, and some contract work on the side, I am no longer able to give this blog the attention I should. It was a difficult decision, but the right one for my family and my sanity.
Luckily, there are many great money saving sites out there. Two of my favorite:

DIY Hawaiian dress
My daughter needed a Hawaiian dress for a dance last week. Being the cheap thrifty mom that I am, I made one. My sewing skills leave much to be desired, but with a little Liquid Stitch and some ribbon, it turned out quite nice.

I already had the shirt and the ribbon. I bough the pink fabric (a remnant) and the Liquid Stitch (to attach the ribbon) at Joann's during their 50% sale. Total cost was around $2.50.
